Povito

Seller Policies

Last updated: 19 October 2026

These policies apply to every shop that sells on Povito. They summarise the main rules of selling on Povito; your Seller Agreement and the terms you accepted when you applied set out the full rights and duties, and prevail if anything here differs. Questions: sellers@povito.com.

1. Joining Povito

  • Businesses and individuals in Iraq can apply from the seller dashboard at sell.povito.com.
  • You provide your business details and the identity documents asked for. The Povito team reviews every application and may approve or reject it.
  • Only approved shops are visible to shoppers. Povito may suspend or close a shop that breaks these policies or the law.

2. Products and listings

  • Sell only products you are allowed to sell in Iraq, that are genuine, and that you have in stock or can supply on time.
  • Describe each product accurately, with your own or licensed photos. Prices are in Iraqi dinars and include everything the shopper pays for the product.
  • Do not sell illegal, counterfeit, stolen, dangerous or restricted products, or anything Povito lists as not allowed.
  • Povito may review any product before or after it goes live, and may hide or remove products that break these rules.

3. Orders

  • Prepare every order promptly and keep your stock accurate so shoppers are not disappointed.
  • If you cannot fulfil an order, cancel it from your dashboard straight away. Frequent cancellations can lead to your shop being reviewed.
  • Use the shopper's name, phone number and address only to fulfil and support that order. Do not use them for marketing, and do not share them.

4. Delivery

  • Your shop either delivers its own orders or uses a courier that Povito has arranged for it. Povito sets which applies to your shop.
  • Set where you deliver and how many days it takes in Settings → Where you deliver. Checkout shows shoppers your delivery time and stops orders from addresses you do not serve.
  • Delivery is currently free for shoppers, and you cannot charge for delivery separately.
  • If you deliver your own orders: update each order in your dashboard when it leaves, and confirm The customer has it once it is handed over. On cash on delivery orders you collect the cash and pay the full amount to Povito as your Seller Agreement sets out; Povito records it and your earnings for those orders start from then.

5. Returns and refunds

  • Shoppers can ask for a return within 14 days of delivery from their order page. Review each request under Returns in your dashboard and approve or reject it with a reason.
  • Accept returns of products that arrived damaged, faulty, wrong or not as described.
  • The Povito team may review a disagreement and decide it, including ordering a refund.
  • A refund is shared between your earnings and Povito's commission in the same proportion as the sale: Povito gives back its share of the commission. If your balance cannot cover a refund, payouts are paused until it does.

6. Fees

  • Povito's commission is 10% of the product price after your own discounts. It is not charged on delivery.
  • Discounts you create come out of your earnings. Discounts Povito pays for do not reduce your earnings.
  • Other platform fees are set to zero at launch. Povito will tell you in advance before any fee changes.

7. Earnings and payouts

  • Your earnings from an order are held for 7 days after delivery is confirmed by Povito or the courier, or for 14 days when you confirm delivery yourself, so returns can still be handled. For cash on delivery orders, the hold starts when the cash reaches Povito.
  • When at least 50,000 IQD is available, request a payout from the Money page. Povito's finance team pays it by bank transfer to the account in your shop's settings. Larger payouts are approved by a member of the finance team first.
  • Every month you receive a statement of account showing your sales, Povito's commission, refunds and payouts.

8. Your shop website

Every shop has its own website on a povito.com address. You can publish your own returns, delivery, privacy and terms policies there. They must not give shoppers less than these policies and Povito's Terms of Use.

9. Help from the Povito team

Povito staff may sign in to your shop to help you or to investigate a problem. When they do, it is shown on your screen and recorded.

10. Your data

Your shop's data belongs to you. You can download it from the dashboard, and you get a copy when you leave. Financial records are kept for up to seven years, as the law requires. The seller dashboard's Privacy Policy explains how Povito handles your own personal data.

11. When rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, Povito may warn you, hide products, pause payouts while it investigates, suspend your shop or close it. We tell you the reason.

12. Changes

Povito may update these policies. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we tell shops about significant changes in advance.
